Valve Repair and Rebuilding
MSC provides a comprehensive range of repair, reconditioning and modification services for all types of steam turbine valve applications, process control, safety, safety relief and specialty valves. MSC is also one of the nation's largest assemblers and distributors of safety and safety relief valves and parts. All valves are repaired, assembled and/or modified to exacting specifications. Our VR-certified mobile trailer brings plant-quality cleaning, precision machining, welding, stelliting, lapping, testing and modification services direct to the customer site.
All safety and safety relief valves are tested, set and sealed in accordance with the requirements of the applicable ASME Code Section I and VIII and National Board. Service to all other valves conforms to the applicable ANSI, API and MSS standards.

Electro Hydraulic System Analyzer (EHSA)
Hydraulic actuators inspection and test
Precision equipment to inspect actuators, fully refurbish and test them to their correct specifications
Electro Hydraulic Test Stand (EHTS) uses phosphate ester (FYRQUEL 220) at operating temperature and pressure (up to 3000 psig test pressure)
Tests individual system components at operational levels and measures actual flow or pressure drop
Records pressure drops in increments utilizing chart recorder for detail analysis
Data recorded in the analysis assists in the evaluation of EH system actuators and includes:
Hydraulic cylinders
Drain check valves
Emergency trip check valves
Dump valves
Isolation valve
Valve test solenoids (if so equipped)
